Food plating is a
craft you can
actually learn
Wisdomex Labs runs live webinars on food presentation and plating technique, led by working chefs for students across the globe.
Where the platform came from
Wisdomex Labs started in 2025 after its founders noticed a gap: structured plating instruction existed for culinary school students, but not for cooks working independently outside those institutions.
The platform focuses on food presentation as a standalone discipline — not folded into broader cooking courses where plating gets one hour at the end.
What a session looks like
Each webinar runs for 90 minutes with a working chef demonstrating live. You can ask questions in real time, request a replay of a specific moment, and submit your own plating for feedback in the next session.
- Sauce work — drag techniques, pools, and negative space use
- Height and geometry — building vertical elements that hold
- Colour contrast — pairing ingredients for visual weight
- Garnish logic — when less is measurably better
